Inspection & Diagnosis
Up close the cause was mechanical, not the opener: the roller stem at one end hinge had sheared clean off, dropping that panel edge out of the track, and the lift cable on the same side had frayed at the drum as the door twisted. The bottom bracket was worn where the roller stem sits. Between the missing roller and the damaged cable the door had wedged itself in the tracks.

Solution
We secured the door, de-tensioned the springs and fitted a new heavy-duty bottom bracket with a new nylon roller, then replaced the frayed cable, re-seated the panel in the track and re-tensioned and levelled the door. It was cycled by hand and on the opener, the limits and safety reversal re-set, and closed and locked before we left.
